I noticed something while watching Inglourious Basterds.

See, Eli Roth (in my mind, at least) looks quite a lot like Sylar.

Evidence:

See?

... OK, basically...

GO SEE THIS MOVIE.

NO, SERIOUSLY.

If you like Tarantino movies, this is an ABSOLUTE MUST-SEE. Just... actually, no, no spoilers... just be prepared for bloody, awesome, unapologetic violence and you'll be fine.

Also, I'm.. still conflicted about Brad Pitt. On the one hand, sometimes he's awful *cough*Interviewwithavampire*cough*, but then you get Fight Club or Twelve Monkeys or Inglourious Basterds, and he's really good. Really really really good.

...and not exactly unattractive, either. Erm. Anyway.

(I may also have the teeniest girlcrush on Melanie Laurent. You'd have to see the movie to understand why.. but really, thank you, QT, for giving us another Awesome Strong Female Role Model.)

There was a trailer for Inglourious Basterds on Channel 4 just now.

I literally went OMGSQUEE.

Then I saw that it's out ON THE 19TH OF AUGUST. WITH ADVANCE SCREENINGS NEXT WEEK.

I am now RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED.

(Oh, and I was watching Ugly Betty before and had a WHOA WTF moment when I realised that Captain Hottie (off of Lost) just joined the cast.

And he's still totally hot. Dammit.)

Went to the cinema today, seeing Blood: the last vampire. More on that later.

The trailers beforehand were for Public Enemies (new Johnny Depp movie), Sherlock Holmes (new Robert Downey Jnr movie) and Inglourious Basterds (new Quentin Tarantino, no the name is not misspelled). So, basically, just those three trailers alone were worth the £5 I paid for the ticket.

Incidentally...
a) I think Johnny Depp is actually getting more attractive as he gets older.
b) HOLY SHIT that Sherlock Holmes movie looks awesome.
c) Inglourious Basterds is making me go *squee* a lot. Looks AWESOME.

The movie I actually WENT to see was good too. It's an adaptation of some manga that I only heard of today, but it works well as a movie too. I think the fact that none of the actors were big names probably helped - I'm serious, I didn't recognise a single person. Also it's a whole new vampire-based fandom for me to play with.

And yes, there are crossovers brewing. Dammit.
