trillianastraI had the most awesome idea for a fic at work today. I'm pretty sure I could pull it off, too, seeing as it involves crossing over two things I'm obsessed with.
The gist is, we take the plot and basic idea of Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, and exchange the actual characters (Billy, Captain Hammer, Penny, all those randoms) with Doctor Who characters. And it would be silly and cracky and (hopefully) half-way funny.
As for casting...
Billy/Dr Horrible has got to be the Tenth Doctor. Partly because I can totally see DT doing the geek bits and the badass bits.
Penny is Rose, naturally. (I briefly considered Martha, but Rose fits better.)
As for Captain Hammer... I knew straight away who he would be "played" by. It's just got to be Jack, you know?
EDIT: Moist will be played by Mickey. Now I think about it, that one seems so obvious...
The randoms (the Hammer fangirls, etc)... well, the Hammer fangirls can be Gwen, Martha and (fanboy) Ianto. Anyone else will be played by random Companions.
And the Evil League of Evil... hmm, maybe have a Dalek, a Cyberman, a Sontaran... various Who villains, basically. And Bad Horse would be (represented by) the Master.

I think it'd be funny, anyway.
