This is my first year of Yuletide, so I'm all excited for it (and my assignment is *awesome*). So I thought, Writer who got my requests, that I'd leave this post to give you an idea about stuff I like, stuff I don't like, and the requests you got for me.
Request 1: The Authority
So, I like comics. Specifically, I like some more unusual comics... like The Authority (StormWatch too). I think the team themselves are fantastic. I think the idea is great and the writing and artwork are (usually) great too.
Also... Midnighter. The Midnighter is possibly my favourite comicbook character ever. Because he's totally badass... but is a great father to Jenny and (much of the time) a great husband for Apollo too. The reason I requested Authority fic... well, there's not enough out there.
Also, as family units go, Apollo-Midnighter-Jenny is just too awesome for words.
Request 2: Sandman
I said I liked the more unusual comics. Actually, Sandman was one of the first comics I ever read, and it's actually the direct cause of the fact that I'm now obsessed with Neil Gaiman.
The request... well, I feel like Dream/Nada wasn't exactly developed (or resolved) satisfactorily. So Dream/Nada would be good. My other pairing was Lucifer/Mazikeen... which I just like, really. If you could manage something with both pairings in the same fic, that would be great.
Request 3: Hellblazer.
Comic-based request #3....
I like the Hellblazer books. It's one of my all-time favourite comics. I find John Constantine an endlessly fascinating character.
(Also, I was very, very disappointed by That Movie. *grits teeth*)
What I'd like to see would be John/Kit, and I was thinking that something more cheerful would be nice. Not necessarily Christmassy, but cheerful. Something a little lighter.
Request 4: Six Feet Under.
Oh look, a TV-based request!
Ahh, Six Feet Under. I do like my HBO shows. I remember I started watching because of Michael C Hall, and then I got a little hooked.
I'm not being very picky with this, mostly because it'd be too hard to pick just one pairing or whatever. I did, though, have the idea of (perhaps) a family Christmas dinner for the Fishers... with the kids bringing their partners along.
