Title: Ineffability
Fandoms: Good Omens, Supernatural
Characters: Sam, Dean, Adam, Aziraphale, Crowley, Castiel (briefly).
Rating: G
Prompt: Good Omens/Supernatural, author's choice/author's choice, ineffability at [livejournal.com profile] comment_fic.
Spoilers: The end of GO. Familiarity with the current season of Supernatural would help, too.
Disclaimer: Not mine, not mine. Just playing in the apocalyptic sandbox.
Summary: Sam and Dean are sent to England to meet a boy who might be able to help them stop Lilith.
A/N: I did play with the timelines a little... technically, in the current season of Supernatural Adam would be 21. But there was more shock factor for the Winchesters if he was a teenager, so... yeah.

Dean couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “Tell me that again, Cas.”
“We have to get to the Antichrist. It is thought that he might be a useful ally against Lilith.”
“Right. And the Antichrist is where?”
“You will find him in a small village called Lower Tadfield in the United Kingdom. His name is Adam Young.”
“The Antichrist is called Adam and lives in a British village?”
“Yes.” As usual, it was impossible for Dean to tell whether or not Castiel was being sarcastic.
“Well, we’d better get a flight booked, I guess.”

Two days later, Sam and Dean had arrived in England. They had hired a car, and after several hours driving in a circle they managed to locate Lower Tadfield. Finding Adam Young proved rather easier, however. All Sam had to do was ask the woman in the grocery store where the Youngs lived, and they were on their way.

They parked outside the house, and Sam knocked hesitantly on the door. It was opened by a man with curling dark hair, who for some reason was wearing sunglasses indoors on a wet Saturday afternoon in February. He looked at Sam and Dean carefully for a moment. “Sam and Dean Winchester, right?”

Sam and Dean looked at each other in surprise. Sam said, “Uh, yeah. You’re not Adam Young, are you?”
The man in the sunglasses laughed. “No. He’s inside. We’ve been waiting for you two to show up.”
They were about to ask how he’d known they were coming, when the man walked back inside, leaving the door open for them. They both shrugged and went inside, pushing the door shut.

The man in sunglasses led them to the front room, which was occupied by another man, this one taller with fair hair, and a teenage boy. Dean went up to the man. “Adam?”
“Oh, no. I’m Aziraphale. The rude one who opened the door is Crowley. This is Adam.” Aziraphale gestured to the teenage boy, who grinned at them.
“So,” he said, “you’re trying to stop an Apocalypse, right? I think I might just be able to help you out there.”
“How? You’re a kid…”
“You started Hunting when you were a kid. I’m the Antichrist. I stopped the Apocalypse when I was eleven.”
Sam frowned. “Huh?”
“Long story. The point is, I can help you. And even if you don’t want me to, I think I have to.” He nodded at Aziraphale and Crowley. “Every time I ask why, they tell me that it’s part of the Ineffable Plan. Which apparently means it’s got to happen.” Adam shrugged. “So it looks like you’ve got my help, if you want it or not.”
