Sooooo.... *innocent look* Guess what?

I have new TV shows to watch!

(yeah, yeah, I have too many of those already... shut up, brain.)

New Show Numero Un: Eureka (or "A Town Called Eureka", which is what it's called in America, according to wikipedia. *shrug*)

Eureka is like... well, it's like someone read my mind, then made a TV show I was guaranteed to like. Basically, Eureka is a town full of geniuses. And there's this corporation, Global Dynamics, which runs everything. And the characters... well, some are just nuts, some are slightly nuts in a way that could potentially pass for normal, and the ones who are (at least on the surface) sane make up for the lack of crazy by being awesomely snarky.

I do love my snark, and this show... definitely has snark. And geniuses. And cool slightly-made-up science, and stuff.

Also, it has Nathan Stark. (Wiki says he was inspired by Tony Stark aka Iron Man.... having seen Eureka and read Iron Man comics.... I'd say Nathan is the new improved version. Heh. And... well, he's kinda hot, too.) So, ya, Eureka is ticking allll the boxes....

New Show Numero Dos: Leverage. Now, I've only seen the pilot for this.... but it has thievery and a girl called Parker who is, and I quote, "twenty pounds of crazy in a five pound bag".

It feels kinda like the BBC show Hustle, only more American... and with more awesome people. So, when it starts properly I shall be watching avidly. Heh.

Actually, it's just Eureka here too.

I've been watching it for a while. The stories work well, and the humor is good (there was even a Doctor Who joke in once!)

The thing that bugged me about the latest season is that they wrote product placement into the show. A new head of the company comes in and she works for an actual deoderant company...and they're doing super deoderant tests all the time. It's ridiculous. Besides that, I've enjoyed it. I think I like all the supporting characters better than the lead cast, though.
