Just saw an Avatar trailer...

and I realised that one element of the plot is (so far as I could tell) basically Pocohontas on an alien planet.

Well, I guess imperialism and exploitation is one of those things that transcends boundaries.

Also just saw a trailer for the new Alice in Wonderland movie (the Johnny Depp one). It looks good. Plot suspiciously reminiscent of the very recent Alice TV movie that SyFy just aired, but whatever...

First, most importantly.... I love Glee. I do. Completely.

I just watched the episode with the wheelchairs. I have the following conclusions:

1. Kurt is my favourite now. Oh, yes. Also, I want to give him a hug really, really badly.

2. Kurt has the most awesome dad ever.

3. OMG DEFYING GRAVITY YAY!!!

4. Girl's song or not, I thought Kurt should have got the solo. Also, a version of Wicked with Kurt and Rachel as Elphaba and Glinda would SO. TOTALLY. ROCK.

5. In a non-Kurt-related note... I'm not liking Quinn. Partly because she's being a cow to Finn, and partly because she has way more chemistry with Puck and oh, wait, it's his freaking kid she's pregnant with. Also, if I was having Puck's kid, and he handed me a wad of cash like that, I wouldn't be a total bitch the way she was.

6. I'm scared. Sue Sylvester is actually HUMAN. Here was me thinking she was a Cylon, or at the very least a Visitor.

7. FOOD FIGHT.

Um, you know in the Doctor Who episode "Journey's End"?

Well, this might be just because I was just watching Dollhouse, but it occurred to me that the memory-wiping thing that the Doctor did to stop Donna's brain from going *asplode* was... kind of similar to the way Actives get wiped. Not in the method, obviously... but in the effect on the brain, if that makes sense.

It just makes me wonder, because Dollhouse is at the point where certain Actives (or one in particular, anyway) are retaining memories *after* being wiped. But then, none of them were involved in any metacrises.

I don't know. It's too late for this kind of thinking, I'm going to bed.

(PS. It's bad that I think Alpha's kinda hot, right? That's got to be a bad thing...)
