Huh.
OK....
a) angels really are dicks (apart from the obvious exceptions)
b) what is it with angels and picking Vessels who look like accountants? Seriously, guys...
c) um... here's a wild idea for you:
What if Adam really was Michael's vessel all along? Yeah, I know all that stuff Zach said. Frankly, it's all a bit meh. Zach was middle-management, and in my experience middle-management types tend to be the ones who act like they know everything that's going on when actually the real bosses have their own agenda.
I would not put it past Heaven/Michael/God/whoever to be up to something along those lines.
I do think Dean is crucial to this whole thing... I just don't think Michael is his designated role. Adam as Michael's Vessel actually leaves everyone in position for my pet theory... which is that John (yes, Winchester) = God.
Adam is Michael's Vessel, Sam is Lucifer's (not sure if that constitutes the short straw or not...), and Dean...
well, don't you think it's odd that there's Christian mythology all over this show, and the one person who's really sort of essential to this end of the world business hasn't shown up yet?
(yes, in this theory Dean gets to be Jesus. C'mon, there was symbolism and everything...)
Also, I've decided that not only do all the characters (yes, all of them) have Daddy Issues, they're also all having a crisis of faith. Except for Sam.
Finally: oh, god, the looks! The subtext! i.e., if Cas could stop looking at Dean in *quite* that way, that'd be good. Seriously, we're almost at Merlin level the-subtext-is-killing-me-here.
