Lost 6x12 "Everybody Loves Hugo"

UM. WTF?
So... in Reality-B, Hugo Reyes is a wealthy philanthropist (I guess he won the lottery there, too), who was never in Santa Rosa and whose mother is trying to set him up with girls.
It's a good thing he met Libby, instead... even if she *was* on a day trip with the crazy people.
(Now, I am ridiculously glad that they brought Libby back for the Reality B plot, because jeez, there's a lot of unresolved stuff there, you know?)
So, RB Hugo meets RB Libby, and Libby... recognises him, even though they've never met (in that reality). He's dubious at first, but eventually starts believing that she's not actually crazy, and he asks her out on a date (SQUEE), and what do they do?
THEY HAVE A PICNIC. ON A BEACH. And Libby brings up the fact that she feels weird about it, like it was a date that they never had in the other reality. WHICH IS EXACTLY RIGHT.
(Theory time: RB Libby "remembered" RA Libby's memories of the island/Hugo/etc after seeing a Mr Cluck's ad on TV, yeah? And RB Dan wrote a bunch of equations down after he dreamed them... I think that there's something about Dan, Libby and Hugo that means that they're getting this information without having to have a near-death experience first. I suspect that the word "crazy" is involved.)
Also in Reality B, Desmond's been driving around LA with the Flight 815 passenger manifest, tracking down the passengers one by one, and watching RB Locke leave the high school in his wheelchair.
Then he ran over RB Locke with his car. And I think I know why. It's because he wanted RB Locke to have an NDE and remember his RA life... it's pretty much the same as when RB Charlie drove Des' car into the sea... but, well, it was also pretty fucking creepy. And nervous-making.
And over in Reality-A:
1. Richard is oddly obsessed with blowing stuff up. Well, he was, until Hugo detonated all the remaining dynamite and the Black Rock went *boom*.
2. Speaking of things going *boom*, you would think that Ilana, supposedly trained all her life for this by Jacob, would know how to treat old, nitroglycerine-sweating dynamite. I mean, Arzt knew, and he was a high-school science teacher! Mind you, he STILL went *boom*, so... whatever.
I don't think I'll miss her much.
3. WHOA, random!unexpected!Michael. Also we know what the whispers are.. even though as Island Mysteries go, it's not the biggest or most urgent. Whatever. I'll take what I can get.
4. Random Jungle Boy that Smocke and Des ran into. a) Des could see him, interesting... and b) I wonder if this is somehow related to when Smocke and Sawyer ran into Random Blond Kid - who Sawyer could see...
(current theory: RBK and RJB are kid-versions of Jacob and the Man In Black respectively. God only knows why they're showing up like this.)
5. That conversation by the Electromagnetism Well with Smocke and Des. I think that conversation was, basically, a "you have no power over me" moment, and yes, I did just reference Labyrinth. My point is that Des is, obviously, not scared of Smocke. Smocke wants people to be scared of him, it's how he operates half the time, and scared people can be manipulated more easily. If Des isn't scared of him, that means that he can't use Des against Widmore in some way, so he pushed Desmond down the well to make sure that Widmore couldn't get him back.
(the issue of why Des isn't scared is something else entirely, and rather more worrying...)
6. On that subject, quick memo for the writers:
HAVING DESMOND GET PUSHED DOWN A WELL?
NOT COOL, DUDES. NOT COOL. *grr*
7. Oh, Jack. *hugs* Y'know, I think he's finally got the idea into his head that being a control freak and trying to fix everyone and everything is not a good idea.
