Caprica 1x09 "End of Line"

Well, that's an appropriate episode title.



I think, having seen this episode and spent a good half-hour immediately afterwards going AHHHHHHHH in my head, that Caprica is going to end up breaking my heart just as much as BSG did. And oh, boy, there were some moments with BSG...

Let's not get into that right now, though. The other thought I had was that... absolutely no-one in this show (that I care about) had anything good happen to them this week.

1. Daniel's deadline for the U87 contract got shortened to a week, he had to sell the C-Bucs to Vergis, the one U87 he did have (the Zoe-bot) broke out of his lab and went *boom*, and his wife jumped off a bridge. And his lab assistant got killed.

2. Amanda spent a long time in bed smoking, thinking about her dead brother, then put a nice dress on before the jumping off a bridge incident.

3. The Zoe-bot sort of... threw Philomon into a column in a fight. The Zoe-bot is STRONG. RIP Philomon... *sniffle*

4. Barnabas used Lacy to get a bomb into Clarice's car, not on STO orders but because he doesn't like Clarice much. Then he held a gun to Keon's head to make Lacy remote-detonate the bomb. She did. The only reason I'm not saying RIP Clarice at this point is that Clarice got out of the car just at the right moment... because she saw Amanda jump.

5. Zoe-Bot broke out of the lab, stole a Graystone Industries van, and made a break for freedom. Then drove the van into a roadblock, and went *boom*. I'm... holding off on the RIPs there. She might survive.

6. Emmanuelle found Tamara in New Cap City. Then Joseph found her, and Tamara told him he couldn't keep obsessing over her like he has been. Then she v-shot him, so he de-res'd, so now he can't go back.

7. Sam and William mostly got ignored this week.

Also, well... Vergis is a dick. But you probably knew that already.

Oh... there is one good thing. One tiny, tiny, probably insignificant good thing. I was right about Emmanuelle being Evelyn's avatar. Also, Joseph/Evelyn is getting closer by the second.

PS. A few episodes back, when Barnabas showed up the first time, I briefly considered Barnabas/Lacy, pairing-wise. At the time I wrote it off as unlikely. I just changed my mind.... though, technically, now I have Lacy/Keon and Barnabas/Lacy. Which is frakked up, but I really, really don't care right now.

Note to self: Just because James Marsters = John Hart and James Marsters = Barnabas, this does not automatically equate to Barnabas = John Hart. Godsdamn actor rule.
