Indirectly, TVTropes gets me again

So, I was randomly watching this episode of Xena earlier.

It was an episode with (young, very hot) Karl Urban in, so, YAY, bonus. Right up until that part of my brain that works entirely in terms of TVTropes pointed out that the episode was essentially one big confrontation between D'Anna Biers and Dr McCoy. Which is certainly something to think about.

A friend has lent me the first two seasons of Buffy, which show I've never actually settled in to watch before now... and the time I have been having trying not to yell random Ferengi rules of acquisition every time the principal shows up... {sigh}

Ah, Principal Snyder... season three is particularly eventful where he's concerned. Especially the finale, heh.

ANYWAY, how are you liking BtVS? Has Spike showed up yet?

(I should warn you... if you get to season 4... well, it's a bit weird. Troubled, is probably the word, I guess.)

It's a bit uneven so far, but then most shows do take that first season or so to hit their stride. I'm up to Spike's first episode, which unfortunately is right where there's a scratch on that disc so it only played in bits and I'm not entirely clear how he was introduced! (I am probably the only person on the planet who's catching up to this after "Captain John Hart, note the sarcasm", so talk about warped views...)

It'll get better, btw. Season 2 is probably better than S1, and S3 is better than both of them, for the simple reason that S3 has Faith and Wesley, but you'll get to them...
